Bio
Ms. Battle has been a proud member of NSBE since Fall 2000. She has served NSBE in various capacities including:
- Collegiate Fundraiser Chair and Vice President at the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH)
- Alumni Collegiate Intiative Chair and President of the North Alabama Alumni Extension Chapter
- Region III Alumni Extension Chair-Elect, now serving as National Region III Alumni Extension Chair.
Kimberly received her Bachelor of Science in Engineering-Industrial and Systems Engineer then a Master of Science in Mangement-Project Mangement. She is currently
employed by the DoD Army Avaiation Missile Research Development and Engineering Center (AMRDEC) at Redstone Arsenal. |

Bio
Mr. Hill hails from Birmingham, AL and is a graduate of Auburn University. He now works at Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, Georgia as a
civilian Aerospace Engineer. NSBE Luv is Sidney's middle name! |

Keith Sylvester

Bio
Mr. Sylvester is a civilian employed as an Electronics Engineer for Robins Air Force Base. He works within the Software Maintenance Organization and works as a Project Software Manager. In this role, he manages a project that will provide software updates to an Air Force plane. Prior to working for Robins Air Force Base, Keith worked for Acuity Brands Lighting where he served as a Front Line Assembly Supervisor. In this role he was responsible for up to 60 employees and ensuring that high quality products were delivered from his area of responsibility. He also assisted with the company’s Lean initiative by managing the visual management system and providing Lean training at one of their plants.
This is Keith’s first time serving as a Regional Chair. At the chapter level, he has served as the Alumni Chapter President and Program’s Chair.
Keith is the recipient of a Bachelors of Science in Engineering and Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from Mercer University. These degrees were both completed in the Fall of 2001. |

LaTeresa Shearill

Bio
LaTeresa Shearill is currently employed as a consultant in the area of water/wastewater treatment at CH2M HILL. She has been a member of NSBE since her freshman year of college at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville where she received a B.S. in Civil Engineering. Throughout that time, she served NSBE on a chapter level as the Academic Excellence chair. Her NSBE involvement evolved during graduate school as she received her Master's degree in Environmental Engineering. While in graduate school at the University of Illinois she served on the National Academic Excellence Committee as the USTR coordinator, as Regional Academic Excellence Chair and as a chapter adviser. LaTeresa is excited about further serving NSBE and the region on the alumni level. |

Patricia Edmonds
Publications / Public Relations Chairperson

Bio
Ms. Edmonds is currently employed as a Systems Engineer at the
Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division in Orlando,
Florida. She serves as a project engineer for the MH-60R
Tactical Operational Flight Trainer program. Patricia also
currently serves as the technical point of contact for 2 Small
Business Innovation Research projects and 2 Small Business
Technology Transfer projects focusing on the development of
intelligent projection units.
She has been a member of NSBE since 1999 as a PCI member. Since
then she has served as First Year Council President,
Fundraising Chair, Programs Chair, and President of her
collegiate chapter and Vice President of the Patuxent River
Alumni Extension Chapter, prior to moving to Orlando. Patricia
has recently served as Region 3 AE Secretary and Region 3 AE
Publications/Public Relations Chair.
Patricia is the recipient of a Bachelor of Science in Systems
and Information Engineering from the University of Virginia in
2005 and a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from Johns
Hopkins University in 2009. |

Patrick N. Stewart

Bio
Mr. Stewart was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York.
He eventually migrated south and attained a Bachelor of Science degree from Athens State
University in Computer Science with minors in Computer
Networking and Mathematics. He is currently pursuing a Master
of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of
Missouri, Rolla Missouri.
Patrick began his engineering career as an Engineering Aide in
1997. Now a Senior Software Engineer, he serves as the software
integration lead for 13 tactical battle management subsystems. In addition, he was appointed Certified Principal Engineer (CPE) delegate on the tri-national air-missile defense program. Patrick is gainfully employed with Lockheed Martin, Space Systems Corporation (LMSSC) in Huntsville, Alabama.
In his spare time, Patrick enjoys expressing his musical
ability as a pianist, singing in choirs and small groups.
His hobbies and other activities include photography, filmography, scuba
diving, volleyball, flying and yes ...NSBE. Patrick has been involved with
NSBE since Spring 1993 and is also an active member of the (Region III) North Alabama Alumni Extension. |

Marcus Scott
Finance Chair

Bio
Marcus is a native of Memphis, TN and has been a proud member of NSBE since 1999 where he served two terms as collegiate treasurer and chapter president. He was formally educated at the University of Tennessee, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 2005. Now a Senior Design Engineer for Leggett & Platt in Atlanta Georgia, Marcus is responsible for consumer product development in the company’s commercial vehicle’s division.
Prior to his current role at Leggett & Platt, Marcus served as New Model Project Lead for Honda Motor Company’s drive-train division. Marcus actively serves the community as a member of the Atlanta Urban League Young Professionals where he is actively involved on the Personal & Professional Development Committee.
Marcus is considered an avid automotive enthusiast and enjoys working with automobiles and traveling to experience the world’s many cultures. |
